Happy Labor Day! (and some gratuitous faculty advice, deja vu): Washington University Cooperative Network

Submitted by Jerome on Mon, 09/06/2010 - 5:07pm.

Dear Cooperators and Other Friends,

I have sent this Labor Day message almost every year since 2004, and I see no reason to change it. Just a few notes:

1) We were born together with the war, and in reaction to it, in Spring 03. There has to be a better way to settle our disagreements than blowing people away. Our mission statements talk around this.

2) We are WashU's Syndicate of Initiative, growing out of a class project inspired by Ursula K. LeGuin's ambiguous critical utopia, The Dispossessed.
