Saturday Night Behind The Archive (3215 Cherokee Street, Saint Louis, MO): "Rise At Night:" Musical performance by Ms. Fridrich + Recycled Peace Drum; Pick Up America, Midwest Rising gathering 7:00 - 8:00 PM Open Mic 8:00 - 8:45 - Acoustic performance by Davey Rogner from Pick up America 9:00 - 10:00 - Ms. Fridrich - Touring from Silver Spring, MD 10:00 -until quiet time - An open jam with the Recycled Peace Drum We will be making signs and crafts for the Convergence during the event. $5 suggested donation Please bring your own food and drinks, limited drinks available on a donation basis. Needed: Drummers – To participate in the massive drum circle and play along with the Recycled Peace Drum. Bring hand drums, steel drums, buckets, tambourines, plastic bottles filled with beans, your boots, anything that can enliven the sound. We are also looking for drum leaders to help direct the sections of drummers during the end performance. We need drum sticks and mallets! Dancers – To bring movement and character to the performance. Peace Organizations – Help christen the drum and speak about how to erode injustices to generate peace. Environmental Organizations- To address the crowd about how people can broaden sustainability in the city. Spiritualists- People of faith and an understanding of giving proper blessings for the Recycled Peace Drum. | |
