The Washington University Co-operative is looking for Fall 2010 residents!!

Applications are due FEB 12th, 2010 by Midnight!

GENERAL INFO
The Co-op is in The Perry, an apartment building located in the City of St. Louis at 6021 Pershing, 63112 AND 6015 Pershing. It is very close to campus, and even closer to the Metrolink.
The neighborhood is awesome. It is filled with children, churchbells, and love. And there IS an ice cream man (when it’s warm outside)!
In 6021, each apartment has three bedrooms and three roommates: one small room, one medium, and one large. Each apartment has its own kitchen, bathroom, and living room.
small room: $327/mo
med room: $398/mo
large room: $420/mo
+ utilities - between $30 - $50 per month for the whole apartment, split between roommates
In 6015, each apartment has two bedrooms and two roommates: two large rooms. Each apartment has its own kitchen, bathroom, living room, and balcony.
Both large rooms: $467.50/mo
+ utilities - between $30 - $50 per month for the whole apartment, split between roommates
Roommates will be decided upon acceptance, we have a variety of room sizes available. You will probably be living with current residents. Don’t worry; we are all cool.
The basement has a common living space, kitchen with fridges, dining room with record player and kickass record collection, performance space, bathroom, surprise closet, laundry facilities.
We have a wonderful yard with a garden, compost, raspberry bush, fire pit, and rope swing (RIPL).
We have potlucks every Thursday evening at 7:30pm. woot!
We have co-op cafés every Monday night at 8:30pm. weet!
Each co-op member joins one of two committees:
kitchen committee – plans meals and shops for food
grounds committee – maintains building and grounds
Each member does one chore woot! a week in addition to cooking and/or cleaning for communal meals a few times a month.
Each member decides how many community meals per week they would like to eat (up to 4), each of which costs $2.50, paid in advance, at the beginning of the semester.
There are small monthly dues that go towards building maintenance, kitchen and cleaning supplies, general upkeep, gardening, and parties.
Mandatory weekly meetings are held, generally lasting one hour.

It is required that applicants come over and cook dinner with us sometime before Feb 12th. We want to get to know you better. We eat dinner Monday through Thursday; cooking starts at 6pm sharp @ 6021 Pershing Ave. (If you are abroad, let us know, we can figure something else out.)
