Please see two very important actions at the bottom of this message! This week's activist event's can be found at http://stlactivisthub.blogspot.com/2009/06/st-louis-activist-events-for-... . First, Facebook has disabled the account of Adam Shriver (creator of this group) without warning or explanation, and has not responded for three weeks as to why this happened. It also has been blocking messages and event invitations sent from the St. Louis Activist Hub (hopefully this one goes through). Please see this post to learn more and see how you can help: http://stlactivisthub.blogspot.com/2009/06/facebook-stop-blocking-st-lou... . The future of St. Louis Activist Hub might depend on your help! Second, please tell KDHX by Thursday NOT to get rid of (or diminish) all of its community radio programs: Thanks for your help! | |
clarification
Clarification: the DSL system had been incorrectly grounded, and this should have been corrected but was not, though their technicians came by many times. There was some equipment failure too, all on the box outside my house. I have no reason to believe my personal information has been compromised. I have not been notified of any stolen credit card numbers or identity theft. If you have problems with AT&T UVerse, make sure your DSL system is grounded correctly. Have them double check it. I hope nobody lost their job over this, because their technicians were always friendly and down-to-business when they came to my house.
censorship, political vandalism, and technical glitches
I am happy once again to post the St Louis Activist Huh events. I had trouble posting last time, though I could post innocuous party invitations. This was just a few days before Adam's account disablement. I thought this was suspicious at first, then I concluded that I was overreacting to an unusual coincidence of technical glitches. I discovered that my entire house's electrical system had been rigged to serve as a giant antenna, causing my DSL to reset erratically. The AT&T people were puzzled and apologetic over this curious setup, and they corrected it. I hope nobody lost their job over this.
Considering Adam's current difficulties, I do not know what to think.
