Frustrated with Corporate Control of Politics? Angry over unjust Housing Foreclosures? Big Bank Bailouts? Continuous War? No Change?

That is why a group of us has decided to take the power back and come together on a broad based front, united against a common threat. Join us at the People's Settlement, a week of action dedicated to focusing on various corporations in the downtown area; from Bank of America's bailouts to Peabody Coal's unethical energy to the prison industrial complex to Anthem's blocking of real healthcare reform.

According to tradition, it takes 18 years to learn Sanskrit, and even then you don't know it. You have to come back for another 18, and then another, and then another life, and on and on... Somebody has been posting a flyer, "Learn Sanskrit: It's Fun and Easy." My own flyer read "Learn Sanskrit: It's Fun But Not Easy." Pali, a canonical language of the Buddhists, is easier, but still difficult and challenging, especially when we read Buddhist religious texts. Ardhamagadhi Prakrit is much more difficult, because the grammars, readers, and dictionaries, if available at all, are not in English.

All are welcome to our Sunday Co-op Pot Luck Dinners, at the Cervantes Co-op House, 6036 Pershing Avenue, part of the WashU Cooperative Network, housing the Washington University Cooperative Library and the Cervantes Free University.

We hope that soon YOU will host one of our Sunday pot lucks, for all our neighbors. The WashU Coop started as a rotating pot luck dinner group, and a social thought reading group, which morphed into a Green Council, and then a housing cooperative network, free university, and syndicate of initiative.

Tuesday, March 30, 5:30pm, Lecture Topic: "The Law of Karma: Some Philosophical Considerations [a Critique of Bruce Reichenbach's "The Law of Karma"]"

Do you believe in rebirth? Do you believe in God's grace? Do you believe that "what goes around comes around," in this world, and in our lives? How are these three different ideas related? How have they been related across time and culture? Do you believe in soulmates, linked together by grace, karma, or fate? What difference does it make?

Start: 8:30 pm
End: 10:00 pm

The St Louis Activist Hub, currently a virtual reality, will soon become a brick and mortar reality, at the WashU Coop. Tuesdays 8:30pm, at the Perry Co-op House (6021 Pershing) or the Cervantes Co-op House (6036 Pershing).
