Washington University Co-operative
Residential Application Part 1

By filling out this form and handing it in you are applying for a spot
as a residential
member of the Wash U. Co-op for the Fall of 2008

What it means to live in the Co-op: Before you hand in this
application, you may want
to know more about us.

? Our community is dedicated to environmental sustainability, community
leadership, healthy living, social responsibility, and Co-operative
learning.
? We share responsibilities such as cleaning, and privileges, such as
gardening the common space.
? We each spend thirteen hours working for the Co-op each month. Nine
of
those hours are spent doing weekly chores to maintain the common space,
attending meetings, and preparing group meals.
? Dining together is a big part of our community. We serve four home-
cooked meals per week using organic and local produce.
? We hope to foster individual creativity that can be expressed through
and
within the Co-op. To do so takes mutual dedication and goodwill from
everyone involved.
? We each sign an agreement at the beginning of the semester to
solidify our
commitment to each other and the Co-op. If you want to know more
about it you can find it in the common space, and on the website.

Application Process:
After we receive your application we will contact you to set up a time
for an informal
interview. Please also feel free to join us for a Thursday night
potluck, or a Monday
night Co-op Café.
